Plant operationTechnical controlling and management of the RDF power plant in Witzenhausen

B+T Engineering AG has been commissioned by the B+T Group for the technical controlling of its own RDF (refuse-derived fuel) power plant in Witzenhausen.

The combined heat and power plant supplies the SCA Packaging paper mill at the Witzenhausen site with electricity and process steam by utilizing refuse-derived fuel. B+T Engineering AG also assumes internal responsibility for the operational management from the owner’s perspective.

In this context, B+T Engineering AG is also entrusted with the overall project management for the completion of the construction project, in particular the supervision of the rectification of defects by the general contractor.

Furthermore, the necessary activities are pending to meet the requirements of the insurer in accordance with VdS guidelines as part of an adaptation of the fire extinguishing system.
